Job Description

West Africa Industrial Developments Limited of the Trasacco Group is a leading furniture business based in Accra and is offering an opportunity to a dynamic, self-motivated and results-oriented individual to fill the position of Chief Financial Officer.

Job Summary:
The successful candidate shall be responsible for directing and overseeing all financial and fiscal management aspects of the Company's operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that all records are kept and maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards in Ghana
  • To ensure compliance with tax and other laws and regulations of Ghana
  • To develop and implement finance, accounting and auditing procedures
  • To establish and maintain appropriate internal control procedures
  • To oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, imports, budgets, salary processing, accounts maintenance and data entry
  • To analyse cash flow, expenses and financial statements
  • To create, coordinate and evaluate financial programmes and support information systems of the Company
  • To approve and coordinate changes and improvements in automated financial and management information systems of the Company
  • TO coordinate the preparation of financial statements, MIS and other reports
  • To assist in the process of licences and other operating permits required for the Company
Remuneration: Very attractive

Required Skills or Experience

  1. Masters degree in Accounting, Finance or Business from a reputable university
  2. Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants or Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ghana
  3. Minimum of 10 years post-qualification work experience in a senior role including a minimum of 5 years overseas experience
  4. Up-to-date knowledge of current financial and accounting computer applications
  5. Excellent verbal, analytical, organisational and written skills
  6. All the above are PREREQUISITES . Previous experience in the retail furniture industry is desirable but not required
