Overall Responsibility:
As a Software Engineer - Client Solutions working within Rancard, you will be instrumental in our goal to ensure that relevant and diverse content from exciting content developers and providers is available to mobile users, using some of the latest technologies in the areas of social discovery and recommendations , content delivery and mobile service monetization.

Your main focus will be on ensuring Client specifications are met at every stage of our service provision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather technical requirements from CP and determine the best way to apply Rancard technology to address prospects’ business problems, in consultation with products & platform engineering team.
• Assist new CP’s in onboarding the rancardmobility.com platform.
• Deliver articulate and effective presentations and demonstrations to a range of audiences, highlighting Rancard products and technologies.
• Develop proof-of-concept products and software tools to assist in closing deals.
• Drive the technical deal signoff process with Legal, Engineering and Finance.
• Provide feedback to Marketing, Product Management and Engineering on developing new products and how to improve existing products.
   

Required Skills or Experience

• BA/BSc preferred in a technical field with a strong academic record. (MSc/MBA is a plus).
• Extensive hands-on experience in Internet or telecom products and technologies in Africa or similar market.
• Experience in deadline-driven, large-scale technical project management or software development in the Internet/Telecommunications space.
• Excellent project management skills (for Analyst II) and attention to detail as well as experience working with external clients in a sales environment.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages, including Java, C/C++, JavaScript, Python, or PHP.
• Proficient in French or English and at least one other African language.
• Willing to travel extensively within Africa.
