• Perseus Mining (Ghana) Limited (PMGL) has recently commissioned the world-class Edikan gold project in the Western Region of Ghana. 
• Edikan Gold Mine (EGM) has a current mining reserve of 3.3M oz of gold from a resource base of 4.3M oz.
• The Edikan processing facility has been designed as a 5.5Mtpa processing facility with the ability to expand this to 7.9Mtpa in the future. The plant is capable of producing at a rate of 220-270,OOOoz gold per annum. 

Job Description

The Mine Projects Manager, reporting to the Deputy General Manager, will be responsible for the co-ordination of early construction activities for new mine of the Mining Department at Perseus (Ghana) Limited, Edikan Gold Mine near Ayanfuri.

The responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:-

• Developing a mine project construction master plan/schedule to measure progress of work;
• Managing the contract survey team and set up proper reporting systems;
• Being responsible for early mine development activities
• Liaising with Group Mining Engineer and Chief Mining Engineer to align construction project activities with schedules and required ramp up volumes
• Managing all aspects of TSF development including supervision of contract geotechnical engineering group and all required QA/QC requirements
• Developing and administering a strong contractor management programme with the small earthworks contractors
• Leading the development and implementation of the owner operated medium scale mining fleet 

Required Skills or Experience

• The successful applicant must possess a Degree in Mining Engineering, Ghanaian Mine Superintendent Statutory Certificate or equivalent and at least 7 years recent experience at superintendent level or above in major metalliferrous or precious metal mining operations
• Experience in managing TSF construction activities, Greenfield mine development, and management of small to medium sized earthworks contractors are essential
