THE SCHOOL:
Victory Presbyterian Church School was founded by the Victory Congregation in October 1995 as part of its mission to impact positively on the spiritual, social, and moral life of the community in which it is situated. Accordingly, the School was charged 'to inculcate in its pupils and student s sound moral and Christian values while pursuing academic excellence'. The School has since grown to become one of the leading private basic school in the Adenta-Fafraha area. Currently it has 792 pupils and students in KG1 up to JHS 3. The teaching staff numbers about 50 while the non-teaching staff numbers about 25. The current administrative structure of the school provides for a Headmaster, two Assistant Heads, and an Administrator.

Job Description

The Position:
The Director will be charged to ensure the advancement of the school in a number of Key Success Areas which are:

  • Academic Performance
  • Improving Science Education
  • Human Resource Management
  • Communication
  • Financial Performance
  • Infrastructure
  • Environment
Duties/Responsibilities:
The Director should have overall responsibility for the general administration and running of the school.

Authority Level:
Will work under the general supervision of the Board of Governors of the School

Contacts:
Consult key stakeholders: i.e. educational institutions, development partners and other relevant Institutions to enhance service delivery

Terms of Appointment:
The Director will be appointed on an initial fixed-term contract of 3 years' duration which can be renewed based on his/her overall performance and the achievement of specific targets agreed with the Board

Salary: Attractive and negotiable

Required Skills or Experience

The Director must have the following:

  • He/she must be a committed Christian
  • Aged not more than 55 years by 1st September, 2012
  • Minimum Educational qualification: A Bachelor's Degree from a recognised University or Institution. Second Degree would be an added advantage
  • Minimum 15 years working experience in Education, Management or Administration preferably in an Educational Institution
  • Must be computer literate (MS Office package)
  • He/She must exhibit leadership abilities
  • he/she must be a person with dynamism and initiative, and ability to work with a team to achieve its targets
  • Available to work not later than 1st September, 2012
