Job Description

• Performs the statutory duties of the ventilation officer for two underground mines:
  • Conduct vent surveys as required
  • Update ventilation plans as required
• Maintains a good working knowledge of the following relevant provisions applicable to the mine:
  • Ghanaian Mines Regulations;
  • All Internal Safety, Health and Environmental Standards;
• Ensures that all employees including contract employees comply with the provisions of the regulations and internal safety, health and environmental standards.
• Records all non-compliances
• Plans, manages and control of all aspects of the mine ventilation (secondary and primary) at two underground mines.
• Updates and maintains the ventilation simulation models (Ventsim)

Required Skills or Experience

• BSc. Mining Engineering or its equivalent from a recognised institution.
• Minimum of two years working experience in a similar organisation
• Motivated team player.
• Ability to think laterally and to provide engineering solutions.
