Job Description

Company requires a Sales and Marketing Manager to organise and lead a team of sales executives ensuring that targets are reached. The successful candidate will plan and execute promotional activities related to all marketing programmes. He /she will also work directly with the sales and marketing staff to provide support with any general sales-related administrative tasks.

Essential Duties

• Set sales targets for individual sales executives and your team as a whole, according to company policy.
• Recruit and train sales staff.
• Allocate areas to sales representatives.
• Develop sales strategies, set targets and ensure targets are achieved.
• Monitor your team's performance and motivate them to reach targets.
• Compile and analyse sales figures.
• Deal with some major customer accounts; responsible for customer payment
• Collect customer feedback and market research.
• Report back to Managing Director on progress.
• Keep up to date with products and competitors.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of the company’s products or services – able to brief and deal with advertising agencies
• Keep abreast of what competitors are doing.
• Responsible for all distribution channels

Required Skills or Experience

• A business-related HND or degree
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills
• Good business sense
• The ability to motivate and lead a team
• Initiative and enthusiasm
• Excellent communication and 'people skills'
• Good planning and organisational skills
• The ability to work calmly under pressure
• Good IT, budget and report writing skills
• Should possess a valid driving license
