Job Description

The Senior Reading Specialist (SRS) is responsible for technical leadership of state-of-the-art early grade reading programme, providing senior expertise in instruction, assessment, coaching, training  and materials development and supervising technical personnel.

Working closely with the COP and the Project's technical staff, the SRS ensures effective planning, delivery and documentation of basic education interventions.
 

Required Skills or Experience

• Master's degree or higher in communications or public health, or other related area
• Specific training in communications for health or development
• Demonstrated knowledge, expertise and success in health behaviour change communication campaigns and innovations
• Experience in use of mHealth and social media as part of behaviour change strategies desirable
•  Strong demonstrated writing, supervisory, communications and training skills
• Fluency in English and at least one Ghanaian language
