Job Description
- The Successful candidate would be required to assist users of the library in routine reference matters using databases, internet and other print/ electronic sources, resolve user complaints check in materials and notify users of new arrivals, update and replace periodic publications such as law reports and assist in shelving library materials as needed
Required Skills or Experience
- A good first Degree in any of the Social Sciences from a recognized university. A degree in library Management would be preferable.
- Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
- Good oral and written and communication and research skills.
Minimum of one (1) year’s experience preferable in a library system with demonstrated competence in the following areas:
- Library organization, services, policies and procedures
- Ability to supervise, direct and organize work activities of others
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and superiors
- Knowledge of various functions of a dynamic library operation, trends in library services in legal environments
