Job Description
- The successful candidate will be required to assist the Director, M&E to develop the overall framework for project Monitoring & Evaluation
- Develop a plan for project related capacity building on Monitoring &Evaluation
- Prepare consolidated Monitoring & Evaluation reports on projects
- Review monitoring reports, analyze them for impact evaluation reports on evaluation and identify the causes of potential bottlenecks in project implementation
- Undertake regular visits to the fields to support implementation of Monitoring & Evaluation and any other duties as assigned
Required Skills or Experience
- A post graduate university degree or equivalent in social sciences, development studies or project management as well as a professional qualification in M&E. Applicants with a civil engineering background with the requisite experience and qualifications may also apply.
- Good computer skills in data processing & MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Access
- Good oral and written communication and research skills
Minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience in Monitoring & Evaluation Methods and Approaches from the Public Service or private sector with demonstrated competence in the following areas:
- Planning and implementation of Monitoring & Evaluation Systems
- Information Analysis and Report writing
- Good Leadership skills
- Personnel and Team Management skills including Mediation and Conflict Resolution
- Strategic and analytical thinking problem solving and decision making
- Ability and willingness to undertake regular field visits and interact with stake holders
