Job Description
The successful candidate will report to the Project Director to direct project underground engineering and technical personnel and coordinate operating requirements with technical plans and activities
- Review proposed designs and test plans for conformance with contract requirements, and analyze test data for accuracy and consistency
- Review and edit reports such as evaluation plans and technical program plans
- Establish and execute policies, procedures and directives to ensure fulfillment of contractual program technical requirements
- Provide technical expertise and assistance to assigned engineers, analysts, drafters and technicians
- Manage medium engineering area by providing leadership and support to the people in that department

Required Skills or Experience
- A minimum of a B.S. Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 12 years experience in a specialize area, including supervising an engineering area or project management
- At least 5 years of the 12 years should have been spent at a medium operating mine site
- Advanced level technical communications, personal interaction and presentation skills required
- Proven leadership and strong negotiation skills
