Job Description

The Teacher INSET Officer is responsible for improving the capacity of Ghanaian basic school teachers in child-centred teaching methods to build their capacity to adequately deliver quality teaching in the classroom.

Required Skills or Experience

• Master's Degree from a recognized University in Education with at least 5 years working experience.
• Have excellent knowledge in the use of Bilingual Education methodologies (NALAP).
• Demonstrate how Teaching and Learning Materials (TLM) can be developed using local materials.
• Support GES District Office (through Assistant Director Supervision and District Inset Team) to link district in-service training work with the national I plan on in-service training.
• Support Ghana Education Service (GES) Training Officers and Assistant Director Supervision to develop and implement effective system for monitoring teacher delivery.
