Founded in December, 20111, the University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho is among the youngest universities in Ghana. It is the only university in Ghana wholly dedicated to the training of health professionals.

The student population is now 4,200 and employee number currently stands at 607.

The vision of the University is to provide quality educational opportunities to students and healthcare professionals, advance knowledge through scholarship and research and provide patient care and services that improve health and quality of life.

Job Description

The office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University will become vacant in 2015 and applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position.

Required Skills or Experience

Candidates for the position must be of a Professorial Status and:

• Must have extensive working experience in University Governance and Administration;
• Must be able to write proposals that attract funding to promote development of the University;
• Must have specialisation in Health and Allied Sciences.
• Candidates must be able to serve a term of four years before reaching the compulsory retiring age of 60.
