Job Description

• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning of equipments, machines & accessories.
• Prepare and implement preventive maintenance programs and ensure full compliance.
• Institute system of preventive maintenance of all Hotel assets, equipments & accessories.
• Project management skills and supervision.
• Preparations of cost estimates & advise management on various projects and works within the Hotel.
• Supervise works men for efficient work delivery.
• Ensure the maintenance of the Hotel pool including the management & usage of various chemicals and other resources.
• Supervise and schedule maintenance staff for various tasks.
• Assist in the periodic appraisal of staff and recommend training needs.
• Manage 3rd party contractors on sites for efficient work/project delivery.
• Have good working knowledge in work safety and concern for environment.
• Conversant with all environmental requirements as it relates to Hotel operations.
• Oversee Hotel general works, work scheduling, costing & projects supervision.
• Have good skill in managing teams and people.
• Good working knowledge in electrical systems and installation, building & general plumbing works.
• Good working knowledge in project works scheduling & efficient resource deployment and utilization.
• Good in writing project reports and other reports required by management regarding maintenance activities.
• Any other maintenance works to be assigned from time to time.

Required Skills or Experience

• A minimum qualification of a Degree in Building Technology/Structural Engineering from a recognised university.
• A minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in a hotel environment.
• Must be very conversant with occupational safety regulations.
• Be capable of coping with work pressure and perform with minimum supervision
