Job Description

Pre-requisite:

  • Ghanaian , Born And Educated In Ghana candidates ONLY
  • Sex : Male
  • Age – not below 25, NOT above 28 years
  • Single, Not married, NO kids

Major Duties
Strategy:

  • Achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned
  • Territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company’s products.
  • Personally, contact and secure new business accounts/customers.
  • Promote/sell/secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
  • Demonstrate products to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs
  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective
  • customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new businesses for the organization’s products.

Sales:

  • Analyze the territory’s/market potential, opportunities and determine the value of existing and prospective customers to the organization.
  • Create and manage a customer database for existing and prospective customers.
  • Plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment.
  • Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and opportunities.
  • Identify competitive advantages and compare organization’s products..

Asset Management:
Although you are assigned a sales van driver, you must ensure the van is in good condition always. You will be held fully responsible by management should the van break down suddenly as a result of an act of negligence from your end , or a NO action from your end vis a vis the driver driving your car . Therefore, it’s necessary the following are adhered to:

  • Ensure your driver does the necessary inspection on the sales van. Example, brake, clutch, lights, required car stickers and dates of expiry, etc. it means if the driver fails to do his inspection and he lied to that effect , responsibility will be on you to ensure he does that .
  • If anything is out of the ordinary, don't ignore it.
  • Learn to check your fluids. You should learn how to check fluid levels. In some cases, you can see the tank level directly, but most have gauges or dipsticks you can pull out to check current levels against a notch that indicates optimal levels. Most importantly, never ignore a leak.
  • Check your oil and get it changed regularly.
  • Check your battery and clean the contacts (if necessary). Most batteries these days don't require much in the way of maintenance, but you should know where it is and check it to make sure it's not leaking and there's no mineral or other buildup on the contacts.
  • Replace your windshield wipers when the view gets streak- Your visibility is important, give your windshield a good cleaning inside and out
  • Get your tires checked.
  • In trade, Don't Ignore Issues, Consult a Professional mechanic When You Need to, but with prior permission from your Supervisor.
  • It is how you will behave in difficult and hard circumstances that will determine your ability to manage under stress and will be considered a key factor in your promotion to higher responsibilities

Stock Management/Daily Activities:

  • Discuss your new order (top up) with your supervisor and then after put it in writing with the operations manager. Make sure you keep a copy of your new order.
  • Be by your sales van to receive your new order. Cross-check your new order (Top up) and sign on the accompanying waybill. Take note, you assume full responsibility of the stock after appending your signature on the accompanying waybill.
  • Be by your sales van to ensure every single stock is loaded into the van and packed the way you want it. Secure the gate of the sales van and get ready to leave for sales.
  • After the day's sales, cross-check the returned stocks (in your van) and put it in writing on a piece of paper as your CLOSING STOCK for the day and affixed it on the day’s sales invoices. Do your accounts and make payments (Cash and cheques) to the company cashier only and submit all sales invoices to him as well.
  • The next morning, open the gate of your sales van and stand by until every single stock is offloaded. Assist the accounts officer to cross-check your closing stock. After the cross-checking, stand by your sales van to ensure every single stock is loaded into your van.
  • See the accounts officer to rectify any anomaly (under stock, overstock, under payment, over payment and damages) with your account.

NB: You will be held fully responsible by management for any shortage in stocks and money, should it occur under your control.

General Requirement while on board:

  • Cleanliness and Tidiness
  • Structural organization of his filing , both soft copies : pc , and hard copies : cabinet files
  • You will be privy to confidential information in the course of his duty with EIGL;
  • You are expected to treat this info as confidential.
  • Well developed oral and written communication skills, interpersonal, negotiation and networking skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals and organizations.
  • Demonstrated adaptability to change and ability to respond to challenges in a changing environment.

  • Data entry: Frequency
  • The customer data cards Daily
  • Daily sales figures report Daily
  • Weekly & Monthly sales report weekly & monthly
  • (This list will be updated on a weekly basis)
  • Number of People Supervised none at the moment
  • Person Assigning Work Assignments: SALES SUPERVISIOR

Required Skills or Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in marketing is a preferable however not a must. Minimum Higher National Diploma
  • PC literacy: MUST be fluent in Microsoft excel, for us this qualification is as equal as his degree!
  • SALES background is A MUST: however NOT more than two years sales experience. WE are not recruiting supervisors, or managers. We need VAN SALES REP.
  • Must have worked in the FMCG sector: preferably: Drinks sector
  • Any candidate with past experience that does not spell selling of : Drinks , or food , will not be considered

Personality:

  • He must be EXTREEMLY trustworthy; in fact this character will be the determining factor for his continuity in our company
  • The candidate must be from a known family. Known members.
  • He must provide solid guarantor
  • The eldest in his own family ( chief , etc )
