Job Description

The experienced applicant will represent Point Innovate installing home and commercial Solar PV systems. The applicant will be expected to work within a team or individually and ensure that all installations are efficiently and effectively completed to the company’s specification, ensuring customer satisfaction.

As an Installer the individual will be required to know and understand Solar PV, components (eg wiring), that ensure efficient solar supply understand the benefits of solar and have the knowledge and experience in installing solar, fully appreciating the importance of satisfying our customers need(s) and professionally delivering on behalf of the company.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure there is an understanding of the site where the install is going to be done and if need be go out a day before the install to assess needs and properly assemble product for the install.
• Ensure all product needed to be taken to an assigned installation is properly detailed and checked prior to leaving for an installation.
• Participate in comprehensive training and education on our product line as well as teach junior installers on appropriate solar install.
• Know how to best get product locally and quickly match specifications that work best for solar systems, and the distribution of energy from panel to batteries and invertors.
• Understand and convey the required level of knowledge of our product to customers curious about the capabilities of the product during an install. Successfully representing the philosophy and vision of Point Innovate Ghana.
• Needs to be detail oriented and also time conscious in regards to company expectations, instruction and in regards to expectations for customer installs.
• Communicate effectively any issues with install to company and if necessary to customers concerning install delays or issues of concern.
• Actively ensure all tools and accessories needed for an install are readily available and/or easily purchased for all installs to go smoothly.

Required Skills or Experience

• 2 plus years solar install experience, customer management, install team leadership.
• Accredited Institutional Solar Installer Certificate.
• Required Skills: Solar and Electrical experience, energetic, positive attitude, presentation skills, presentation development, computer skills- Word, Excel, Power Point.

The Install representative will have the following attributes:

• Hold a reputable and relevant certification in Solar Installation.
• Relevant experience and knowledge installing and selling solar products
• Demonstrable individual and team working capabilities
• Motivated about introducing energy solutions to customers
• Driven and well informed of the most efficient install process.
• Engaging and Confident personality
• Ability and willingness to learn, teach and unafraid to ask questions
• Willingness to hit or exceed company goals and other associated KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
• Result driven
• Strategic planner
• Must be fluent in English
• Other international languages a plus
