Job Description Title: Programme Coordinator Ghana Reports to: World Child Cancer UK Operations Manager (Africa) Supervised by: Local Project Lead, Prof Lorna Renner Based at: Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra, Ghana/home-based Hours: Full-time Job purpose: To manage the development of a network of Paediatric Oncology units across Ghana in accordance with an agreed plan funded by World Child Cancer through the UK Government. Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Required Skills or Experience Qualifications: Masters Degree in any discipline, preferably in Public Health, Development Studies or any other relative disalpine.
Personality: Self-driven with a positive outlook. A clear focus on high quality work. A natural forward planner who critically assesses their own performance. Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Empathic communicator, able to see things from the other person's point of view. Sufficiently mobile and flexible to travel up to a few days a month within Ghana. Keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability. Able to get on with others and be a team-player. Computer skills: Must be adept in use of MS Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel and Word, and internet and email. Literacy and numeracy: Fluent in English.
