Job Description

Job Purpose:
To plan, direct and coordinate the day to day activities of the company, ensure and improve the performance, efficiency and profitability of departmental and organizational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies.

Job Description:

  • Advise Supervisors and Management team on key planning issues and make recommendations on important business decisions.
  • Strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Ensure all Supervisors are fully informed of operational objectives.
  • Set operational and/or performance goals for each Department which are aggressive, achievable and tied to long-term goals.
  • Establish and monitor performance reporting systems
  • Conduct regular meetings with Supervisors to ensure that priorities are clear and coordination is effective
  • Ensure that all activities comply with organizational requirements for quality management, legal stipulations and general duty of care
  • Facilitate resolution of issues between Departments
  • Assists with the development and implementation of standards, procedures and processes for the organization
  • Assist business and other technical areas in evaluating technology solutions that will improve the delivery of Enterprise Applications, Web Applications, SMS, and Managed IT Services.
  • Ensure that services  are managed to meet internal and external client SLAs

Required Skills or Experience

  • Bachelors degree preferably in  Social Sciences or Management With I.T
  • Masters Degree in  Business Administration or Computer Science
  • Professional Background
  • Qualified/ Part Qualification in CIMA
  • Recognized IT Certifications ( PMP, ITIL, MCSE,CCNP, Prince2 )  
  • English Proficiency and Knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • Significant management experience at management level with proven ability to lead and develop managers and other key staff members
  • Proven success in implementing major organizational changes
  • Ability to facilitate team cooperation and development
  • Ability to foster new ideas and concepts and make decisions surrounding complex issues
  • Project management skills, including ability to define work plans, delegate work, monitor progress, and report scheduled variances and/or scope changes
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven experience in an IT Operations role with a customer service focus
  • Experience with the ITIL framework
  • Ability to provide leadership in changing environment with complex role relationships
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of (Web Applications, SMS Gateways,  Mobile Apps, Managed IT Services)
  • Good knowledge of regulatory requirements
