Job Description

  • Be responsible for financial planning and implementation of financial procedures
  • Be responsible for the establishment and implementation of financial management information systems to facilitate decision making
  • Ensure effective review and implementation of procurement and general expenditure policies and procedures
  • Handle all financial aspectes of personnel maters
  • Prepare and analyse budget
  • Prepare payroll, statements, invoices and vouchers
  • Verify and post accounts transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
  • Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analysing, summarizing account information and trends
  • Monitor and report regularly to management on expenditure
  • Audit contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepare reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement
  • Reporting and accounting on every project including taxation and general accounting principles and financial laws particularly pertaining to Ghana
  • Recommends financial actions and analysing accounting options
  • Prepare the accounts for audit and liaise with the auditor
  • Undertake any other duty that may be assigned  by the Chief

Required Skills or Experience

  • Education:  A relevant professional qualifications in accounting
  • At least 3 years' experience in Book Keeping, knowledge of Accounting Procedures, exceptional computer skills including the ability to operate modern office computer, spread sheet and accounting software effectively
