Job Description

We are a non-bank financial institution licensed by the Bank of Ghana to provide financial services. As part of our expansion program and business strategy, we require the services of a smart, confident and performance oriented professional to be employed as IT Technical Support Officer.

Objective
The candidate will be mainly responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and ensuring users get maximum benefits from them. 

Responsibilities

  • Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications;
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks;
  • Taking staff or clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues;
  • Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults;
  • Replacing parts as required;
  • Supporting the roll-out of new applications such as antivirus software;
  • Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues;
  • Responding within agreed time limits to call-outs;
  • Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate);
  • Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time;
  • Testing and evaluating new technology;
  • Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
  • Maintaining records of software licenses
  • Managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Diploma/Certificate in Information Technology
  • Relevant qualification in Information Technology
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in as a support staff
  • Knowledge in operating an IT helpdesk
  • Should be between the ages of 22 and 26 years
  • Relevant knowledge in Network/system administration
  • Experience in Administering Microsoft windows Servers/Clients
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Patience
  • A logical mind
  • Capable of working well under pressure
  • Enthusiasm to be continually learning
