Job Description

A reputable research and public oversight organisation in Ghana's oil and gas sector invites applications for employment for the under listed position

Job Purpose:

  • Coordinate research, monitoring and evaluation functions for organisation's Secretariat.
  • Support the Coordinator in designing and implementing programmes

Main Duties:
Programme design and Implementation

  • Contribute to the designing and planning of the organisation's programmes and projects
  • Oversee the implementation of projects, providing quality assurance for project reports
  • Lead on monitoring and learning functions of the organisation

Research and development

  • Researching, gathering and ana lysing information on the oil and gas industry for the organisation
  • Maintain an up-to-date analysis of the oil revenue flows in Ghana and its relevance for policy makers, oversight groups (civil society, media and parliament) as well as development partners
  • Lead the Preparation and production of organisation's reports

Fundraising and donor contract management

  • Identify potential sources of funding raising
  • Assist in the development of project proposals for fund raising

Communication and media relations

  • Review and monitor progress of organisation's outreach opportunities and take appropriate follow up actions
  • Build and promote partnerships with key stakeholders of the organisation, including media
  • Supervise frequent update of website and other communication platforms with up-to-date information about the organisation and its activities

Required Skills or Experience

  • A Master's Degree in Oil and Gas Management or Petroleum Economics
  • + 5 years' relevant experience;
  • Extensive experience in research and a good understanding of the legal framework of Ghana's petroleum sector
  • Experience in grant management
  • Good communications skills - both written and oral
  • Strong English language skills required
  • Strong IT Skills
