Job Description

International IT company specialized in development and implementation projects for the financial sector, particularly focused on addressing the needs of microfinance institutions, commercial banks, cooperatives, credit unions, payment and mobile operators is looking to employa Regional Business Development Director. To be based in Accra, Ghana and frequent visit to Nigeria, Code Ivoire and other West Africa Countries.

The above role will be reporting to the Business Development Director – AFRICA based in Nairobi

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Execute tasks from the Company Marketing and Sales Strategy.
  • Participate as Company Representative at International Conferences and Forums.
  • Develop a Network of contacts with potential clients, current clients, investors and donors.
  • Participate in the Sales Processes with potential clients and closing deals.
  • Participate in the pre-sales process, building and delivering specific customer solutions.
  • Communicate with clients and partners on specific projects/tasks.
  • Execute particular tasks on Customer Support and Account Management.
  • Input to Company Strategic Goals through helping in formulating company Processes, Policies, Product and Service Road maps.

Required Skills or Experience

  • University Degree (Computer Science, Economics, Management will be an advantage)
  • At least 3 years of similar experience in the software industry
  • Skills to present information in a clear and structured way, both in verbal and written form
  • Excellent analytical skills to understand the macro parameters and at the same time to pay attention to the details
  • Good knowledge or working experience in Banking or Microfinance domain; Knowledge in Payment Solutions and Alternative Delivery Channels will be an added advantage
  • Excellent organization and communication skills (both verbal and written);
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and French;
  • Strong result orientation and efficiency.
  • Strong proposal writing skill
