Job Description

Our client, a consulting firm, currently seeks to employ the services of a Human Resource Officer. The incumbent will report to the Executive Director. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Arrange & Update Employee Files and all transactional documentations in the Human Resource department
• Assist all the HR functions as and when necessary as a way of enhancing your career as an HR Professional 
• Work closely with Payroll Officer to deliver updates on all the changes on time
• Assist in recruiting staff, this includes developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, short listing, interviewing and selecting candidates
• Assist in developing and implementing policies on issues like working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management
• Administering payroll and maintaining employee records
• Interpreting and applying organizational regulations and policies
• Planning, and sometimes delivering, training - including inductions for new staff
• Analyzing training needs in conjunction with departmental managers

LOCATION: Accra, Ghana

Required Skills or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree related to HR (e.g., Psychology, Business or Communications). 
• Highly organized person
• Ability to multi task and work under pressure
• Problem solving and decision making skills
• Exceptionally strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Team player and ability to work under little or no supervision
• Applicants should have the ability to use information technology tools, e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word
