Job Description

We are a reputable Equity Investment Firm currently into Finance, Hospitality, Logistics, Real Estates, Property Management, Security Services and Trade.

We are seeking to find suitable persons with an excellent track record for the following position within the Group

  • Job Title: General Manager- Communication
  • Department:  Directorate
  • Reports Directly: Group CEO

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, in conjunction with the leadership team, the strategy for the development function. Participating effectively towards the achievement of strategic and business plan objectives.
  • Ensure that the company's resources are managed so the portfolio remains strategically positioned and value adding.
  • Ensure that the knowledge skills and capabilities of the staff are developed.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the business.
  • Negotiate with all appropriate stakeholders to ensure that project(s) achieve necessary approvals.
  • Prepare periodic budgets and report on performance against targets.
  • Communicate with the CEO to ensure he remains fully informed of all significant operating issues.
  • Direct and motivate subordinate managers to achieve agreed targets.
  • Oversees Marketing and objectives. Ensure that Programs are consistently innovative, targeted and effective.
  • Maintain positive relationship with local community and good working knowledge of socio-political and regulatory changes that may impact on company operations.
  • Carry out all other duties as assigned by the Group CEO.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Degree in Administration (Major in Marketing/Management) from a recognized University.
  • 8 - 10years experience in senior management of a reputed organization in the communication business, of which 3 - 4 years must be with profit-centre responsibility
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint mandatory)
