World Vision Ghana (WVG) is looking for Thirteen (13) highly qualified, proactive, and motivated persons to fill the positions of Development Facilitators for the Cocoa Life Project Cohort Three (3).

Development Facilitators – Cohort Three (3)

Purpose of position

The Development Facilitators will engage the partners in the operational area to ensure involvement in sustainable integrated program design, monitoring and evaluation within Cocoa Life Project.  The position interacts with community and partners to build capacity and supports the Cocoa Life Project Coordinators, Area Project Managers and other team members to achieve community set goals.

The Package

  • The positions are based in Awutu Sena (Central Region), Bia West, Juaboso (Western Region), Sekyere East, Ahafo Ano North (Ashanti Region).
  • The positions are open contract.
  • The position comes with an attractive salary and benefit package.
  • S/He reports to the Cocoa Life Project Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationship within communities as catalyst, broker and facilitator, working with partners and various stakeholders.
  • Map and Identify new partners within and outside target communities with interest in livelihoods development and strengthen their capacity for viable partnerships.
  • Support Cocoa Life Project Coordinator in effective project planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting process relevant to the Cocoa Life Project.
  • Facilitate on-going community- led co-creation and design process and monitor implementation to ensure that program interventions reflect the needs, opportunities, and capacity of the community.
  • Collect stories, data and information from assigned areas or sections so that it can be included in Program generated regular reports or specific responses.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Degree in Community/Integrated Development Studies, Sociology or other related field.
  • At least 2 years Community Development work experience.
  • Strong understanding of transformational development and frameworks.
  • Skills in mentoring and coaching, especially of Community Based Organization (CBO) leadership.
  • Ability to speak to large audience at a community level.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be willing to live and work in the Project Location.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the empowerment of the poor in rural communities.
  • Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
  • Ability to speak any of the following local languages is an advantage (Twi & Fante).
