A Non – Bank Financial Services Company has vacancies for highly motivated individuals with high integrity and a passion to succeed for hiring as :-

• Job Title:  Accounts Officer - Data Entry
• Reporting to:  Accounts Supervisor

Job purpose           

1. Ensure timely and accurate posting into accounting software
2. Reviews, verifies, codes and enters data from source materials.

Main Duties

• Processing of all payments into accounting software

Specific Duties:

• Reviews and verifies source materials to determine accuracy and completeness of information; follows up with originating department to correct or complete data.
• Input data in accordance with the appropriate codes.
• Key in data from electronic and hard copy source into the accounting software and update date after review
•  Reversal, changing, merging or amendments of data to files is approved
• Verifies entered data to ensure accuracy, identifies data input discrepancies and correct before postings.
• Ensure that receipts / source documents from originating departments are attached to requisition vouchers for verification by auditors
• Files all requisition vouchers correctly

Required Skills or Experience

• Bachelors or Higher National Degree in Accounting
• 2+ years post National Service experience in accounting
• Highly detail oriented and organized in work
• Ability to meet assigned deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications especially in excel
• Ability to understand and appreciate the usage of accounting software (knowledge in Pastel accounting software will be an added advantage)
