Job Description

• Provide input for the Director. F&A in developing proposals to source funding for the Commission's operations;
• Assist the Director, F&A in managing tie Financial resources of the Commission efficiently;
• Prepare annual budget;
• Coordinate and supervise staff to ensure compliance with administrative policies, guidelines and procedures of the Commission;
• Ensure effective utilisation of the Commission's physical assets to ensure value for money;
• Support the Director in managing the performance of staff in the F&A Directorate;
• Develop and implement a robust mechanism for managing the records and information systems of the Commission.

Required Skills or Experience

• A minimum of first degree from a recognised Institutional/University in Business Administration or Public Administration plus a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Public Administration,
• Membership of professional body will be an added advantage,
• Must have not less than eight (8) years post qualification relevant experience, four (4) years of which should be in a Managerial position.

Must possess demonstrable expertise in the following areas:

• Public Administration;
• Programme-based budgeting;
• Working   knowledge   in   project   management   and procurement;
• Financial administration; and
• Policy analysis

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills;
• Computer literacy, including good knowledge of modern Accounting softwares; and
• Negotiation skills.
