Job Summary:

The primary responsibilities of the Clearance Assistant is to manage and coordinate importation of items through customs.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage shipping/importation through Tema harbor

1. Monitor and coordinate both clearance agent and transporters to clear out the cargos
2. Secure the cargo from stolen or damage
3. Keep records of every expenditure in the harbor
4. Assist the management in various duties
5. Other duties as assigned

Required Skills or Experience

• HND in logistics or related area
• At least two years of related experience.
• Demonstrated experience with importation / customs / logistics required
• Experience with importation at TEMA harbor preferred
• Experience liaising with customs officer
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Critical thinking skills and ability to problem solve effectively and efficiently
