Job Description

Our client a financial institution licensed by the Bank of Ghana is looking for a highly proactive Product Manager to support their operations in Accra.

ROLE PROFILE

The Product Manager will be responsible for the entire product chain, including product offering and front/back end. The responsibilities will include the research stage to understand user’s needs, characterization, working with the development team, QA, training and optimization. He/she will also be a focal point to support other aspects such as risk and technology.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading and managing all product (front and back end) workflow activities.
• Research the user needs with customers & the organisation’s team
• Defining MRD templates and implement them
• Train organisation’s team and ensure successful implementation
• Support the CTO in development efforts
• Coordinate all activities between the off shore development team to organisation’s local staff to.
• Execute research activities such as Focus group and surveys as defined by Head of Product.
• Focal point with local tech and financial partners
• Focal point for collaborations with data providers to support risk activities
• Create and update management reports to track progress of product line
• Develop product descriptions and analyze performance of existing products.
• Develop and maintain key customer relations with internal business partners and vendor representatives
• Researches on competitive pricing and practices to ensure that the product remains competitive
• Assures that the product has the highest quality of standard
• Monitor industry trends related to the product.

Required Skills or Experience

MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

• 2 years’ experience in product development
• 2 years in a web or mobile technology project
