Job Description

Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency
Establish or monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems.
Create policies or procedures for logistics activities.
Plan or implement material flow management systems to meet production requirements.
Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
Resolve any arising problems or complaints, provide optimal customer service and satisfaction

Required Skills or Experience

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE --IN A SIMILAR POSITION WITH ANY OF THE MAJOR COURIER COMPANIES (I.E. DHL, UPS, FEDEX, TNT and the like) IS AN ADDED ADVANTAGE

Proven working experience as a logistics manager
Record of successful distribution and logistics management
Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
Proficient in standard logistics software
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
A University Degree or HND in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain
