Job Description

A reputable local NGO operating  in the three Northern regions and some district in the Brong Ahafo region  is seeking a potential and interested professional to be recruited for the under listed vacancy

The APO employs the appropriate technical strategies and methodologies to achieve maximum benefits toward improved agricultural production in maize, rice and soybean. He/she would link demand-driven technical assistance and training to Nucleus farmer outgrower schemes and other value chain actors including, but not limited to, processors, aggregators and buyers in the agricultural value chains. 

Required Skills or Experience

• BSc. degree in agriculture or related field (Master’s degree an advantage). A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in related field.
• Experience in building capacity of farmers in crop production both in formal and informal settings.
• Experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis is considered an asset.
• Experience in post-harvest management is an added advantage.

• Ability to prepare written reports of technical nature
• Superb organizational skills, possess utmost discretion, judgment and professionalism.
• Ability to work with minimal guidance and management priorities and workflow
• Good judgment with a ability to make timely and sound decisions
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Basic level of gender awareness and effective integration of gender equality in project implementation.
• Ability to be a team player
