Job Description

TRADE MARKETING SUPERVISOR (FMCG)

Category: Marketing and Promotion

Location: Accra

Our client a trading and distribution company with subsidiaries in other Africa countries is looking for an experienced and Trade Marketing Supervisor to help with their operations in Ghana.

Role Profile

The successful candidate will be responsible for organising and coordinating trade marketing promotions and activities across the company’s distribution channels/ sections and also create new trade channels. He/ She must ensure increase in sales of company’s products across designated channels/ sections.

 

Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all brand activation, promotions, marketing activities of the company’s products
  • Prepare trade promotional plans and ensuring promoters are assigned to the various trade channels of the company as well as supervise them.
  • Networking and establishing a relationship with both existing and potential customers to help with promotional plans and activities to achieve sales target
  • Identifying new markets and designing promotional strategies to win those markets and increasing shares and products volumes
  • Ensuring increase in demand of company’s products at the distribution, wholesale and retail level.
  • Preparing budgets for trade marketing promotional activities
  • Analyses the demand and supply of the company’s products in its designated channels
  • Management of all promotional and merchandising materials
  • Ensure effective implementation of the company’s promotional and merchandising activities for its distributed products
  • Analyse company’s products brands and identifying performing and non-performing brands

Required Skills or Experience

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related Discipline
  • 3 years working experience in a similar capacity preferably in the FMCG sector
  • Previous experience as a sales person in the FMCG sector is an added advantage (immediate past)

  • Excellent communications skills (Oral and written)
  • Good Interpersonal skills
  • Must be IT oriented (knowledge of MS Office Suites)
  • Must be a team player
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Planning and Organising skills (Administrative skills)
  • Strong negotiations skills
  • Must be able to take initiatives
  • Good Presentation skills
  • Must be able to work in a team (A good team player)
  • Must be creative (Able to develop, formulate and recommend new programmes for promotions to Management concerning the organisations promotional activities)
