Job Description

Due to the award of a mine development contract at Ahafo for the Subika Underground Mine and subject to Newmont's Board final approval, AUMS is seeking expressions of interest for up-coming work in Ghana from suitably qualified applicants to fill the following role :Mining Engineers

Required Skills or Experience

• Mining engineer with 3+years underground mining operational experience:
  • Assist Site Project Managers and Mine Foreman with technical mining issues on site.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of MinRep, Deswick and Surpac and be able to design and implement relevant templates as used in reporting and recording. 
  • Analyse mining physicals and site cost. 
  • Integrate with the client's technical services departments.
  • Prepare the monthly performance report. 
  • Prepare monthly progress claims 
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with client teams and assist with weekly, monthly and rolling 3 month planning. 
  • Train and mentor graduate and vocational engineers.
