Job Description

Locations: Tamale, Sunyani, Takoradi, Accra, Kumasi

Our client, a sustainable energy solutions provider with a vision to contribute to clean energy generation is seeking to hire a highly efficient Sales Officer to help in their operations in Ghana.

Role Profile:
The person will be responsible for marketing company’s product and also identify new market through effective market research. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Sales Manager (Indian).

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Market and Sell products to new and existing clients.
  • Perform quality checks on products and service delivery by driving customer satisfaction and monitoring service delivery.
  • Establish strong enduring and functional customer relationships that will maximize results for customers.
  • Maintain positive relationships with current and potential clients through regular contacts
  • Provide market intelligence on customers and competitors
  • Advise customers on how best to use the product.
  • Use technical skills to demonstrate to potential customers the usefulness of the product.
  • Study new product description to update job knowledge.
  • Research target markets to draft marketing plans to attract potential clients
  • Create and execute a tailored marketing plan for each new proposal or presentation with minimal supervision.
  • Prepare, maintain and submit timely and accurate reports of sales activities, especially client visits/calls
  • Ensure timely and professional submission of all information as requested by clients, ensure follow-up.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports
  • Maintain the company’s time and territory management system
  • Aim to achieve weekly, monthly or annual targets.
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Attend trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings
  • Review sales performance
  • Negotiate contracts and packages.
  • Any other duties as required by management.

Required Skills or Experience

  • HND or diploma in marketing or related discipline.
  • 1-3 years’ sales experience in Electronics, Stoves, FMCG, Energy Products or similar.

  • A person with sales and marketing background
  • Problem solver
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to accept challenges and achieve sales target.
  • A go getter with can do spirit.
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic and self motivated.
  • Customer Service.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office (word, excel, PowerPoint)
  • High level of sales experience
  • Fluent in English language
  • Proven record of high performance.
  • Interpersonal, communications, negotiations and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to ride motorcycle is an added advantage
