Job Description

Introduction to WHIN : WaterHealth Ghana Ltd (WHG) is a leading global organization with a mission to provide sustainable access to clean, safe drinking water to all (including the poor communities).  WHG's unique and creative combination of break-through technology and innovative business models offers clean water to even the most remote, low-income rural communities at affordable rates. Through a multi-stage filtration process coupled with proprietary ultraviolet disinfection technology, contaminated water is converted into clean, potable water that exceeds the World Health Organization's standards .

Reports to : Financial Controller
Function : Finance
Location : Accra
 
Basic Data Function description
The incumbent would be responsible for managing the entire accounts and finance function and all statutory requirements from a taxation point of view.

# Tasks  
1 Ensure accuracy and timely reconciliations of various accounts including banks, clearing, collection and other general ledger accounts. Full 
2 Ensure accuracy in accounts payable/accounts recievable. Full 
3 Supervision of day to day operation in respect  of accounting operations. Full 
4 Knowledge of import of goods. Full 
5 Understanding of compliance and tax laws for Ghana. Full 
6 Review of Trial balance. Full 
7 Mothely Stock audit and its reconcilation. Full 
8 Forex exposure for incoming and outgoing funds. Full 
9 Books Closure and Audit (Statutory/Tax/Transfer Pricing). Full 
10 Statutory Compliance (Direct & Indirect Taxes). Full 
11 Regular dealings with Statutory Auditors, internal auditors, VAT Authorities, Excise Authorities, Income Tax department Queries etc. Full 
12 Develop and implement accounting process.   Full 
13 Handle Statutory Compliance (Direct & Indirect Taxes). Full 
14 Monthly and quarterly closure of book of accounts. Full 
15 Preparation of Profit and Loss,Cash flow, Budgets and Various MIS report. Full

Qualification and Experience Education: ACCA, ICAG, Bachelors Degree & MBA Finance preferable.
Functional Experience : Should have a minimum 8 to 10  years of experience in relevant field

Other : Working knowledge or certification in relevant accounting protocols and software.
Years of Experience: The incumbent should have about 8 to 10 years of experience of working in relevant field
