The Methodist University College Ghana is a private tertiary institution established in October, 2000 by the Methodist Church Ghana to provide higher education, undertake research, disseminate knowledge and to provide service to the community.

The University College which is envisioned as a multi-campus University has campuses in Accra (Dansoman), Tema and Wenchi.

Job Description

The Position: 

• The Dean is the Head of the Faculty and is responsible for providing leadership to the Faculty. 
• He/She is expected to coordinate the work of the Departments within the Faculty so as to maintain and promote efficiency and good governance in accordance with the statutes, policies and procedures of the University College.

Duration of Appointment: The appointment will be for three (3) years in the first instance and may be renewed for further terms. 

Required Skills or Experience

• Must have academic Professional qualifications in the Sciences/Applied Sciences, preferably in Agriculture. 
• Must be of a professorial status in a recognized institution and should have considerably experience in teaching, research and general administration. 
• Must be visionary. business-oriented and capable of establishing links with industry and other relevant bodies to advance the objectives of the Faculty and the University College.   
• Must have a strong managerial acumen and capable of running the Faculty as an academic entity with a business touch. 
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to handle conflict and crisis situations. 
• Must have strong links with relevant international bodies, scholars and Scholarly Associations in the Sciences, Management and Business.
