Job Description

Purpose of post

  • To sell the Company’s products and/ or services.
  • To plan and oversee the company’s sales activities including promotions.
  • To ensure proper branding of the company’s activities and/ or services.
  • To plan and oversee Rehoboth’s marketing activities and campaigns, therefore ensuring that the marketing efforts of the company add the highest value to its business.

Key Areas

  • Manages customer expectations, identifies new business markets and records daily customer transactions.
  • Oversees the company’s marketing campaigns both internally and externally and plays a key role in communicating the company’s message.

Sales-Main Duties

  • Meets sales targets monthly.
  • Records sales and order information; sends copies to the office for book-keeping.
  • Visits potential customers for new businesses.
  • Maintains and develops good relationship with customers through personal contacts or meetings or via telephone etc.
  • Acts as a liaison between the company and its current and future markets.
  • Provides customers with quotations.
  • Negotiates the terms of an agreement and closes sales.
  • Gathers market and customer information and provides feedback on buying trends.
  • Identifies new markets and business opportunities.
  • Gives regular feedback and periodic reports on sales trends.
  • Interview clients to determine what kinds of properties they are seeking.
  • Prepare documents such as representation contracts, purchase agreements, closing statements, deeds and leases.
  • Coordinate property closings, overseeing signing of documents and disbursement of funds.
  • Act as an intermediary in negotiations between buyers and sellers, generally representing one or the other.
  • Compare a property with similar properties that have recently sold in order to determine its competitive market price.
  • Coordinate appointments to show homes to prospective buyers.
  • Investigate clients' financial and credit status in order to determine eligibility for financing.
  • Accompany buyers during visits to and inspections of property, advising them on the suitability and value of the homes they are visiting.

Marketing-Main Duties

  • Contributes in the implementation of marketing strategies.
  • Attends marketing activities or events to raise brand awareness.
  • Liaises and networks with a range of stakeholders including customers, vendors, colleagues, suppliers and partner organizations to promote the success of the company’s activities and enhance the company’s presence.
  • Conducts market research to identify opportunities for promotion and growth.
  • Arranges the effective distribution of marketing materials.
  • Supervises the activities of Sales/ Marketing Officers and/ or Assistants.
  • Undertakes any other duties as may be required from time to time.

Required Skills or Experience

  • HND/ BSC in Marketing (MBA) will be an added advantage, Sales (Real Estates) I T and any related field from an accredited institution.
  • Good interpersonal and human management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good decision making skills.
  • Good conceptual skills.
  • IT skills: Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Simple accounting and book-keeping skills.
  • Results-oriented and able to meet targets.
  • Perform with minimum supervision and have flexible attitude and commitment to work
