A fast-growing and reputable financial institution seeks to recruit a suitably qualified person for the role of: HEAD OF PRIVATE BANKING

Job Purpose
To lead and manage a team of Private Banking Officers who are responsible for individual with high net worth, and managing relationship for deposit and loan growth within specific objectives and policies of the bank 

Key Responsibilities

• Leads the team in asset growth for the Bank by developing new relationships with prospective borrowing clients and retention of existing borrowing clients.
• Ensures liability growth as well as supervise the team of Private banking Relationship Officers to grow deposit to fund creation of assets.
• Works with senior Management / Executive Committee (EXCO) as an Advisor to High Net Work Individuals (HNWIs) on structuring wealth management options.
• Ensures that the Department meets budgeted Profitability targets.

Required Skills or Experience

• A good first degree in any discipline; a Master degree or professional qualification would be an added advantage.
• Good Knowledge of the macroeconomic environment.
• Banking industry knowledge, including knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of banking service and products.
• Demonstrable knowledge of ability to market HNWIs and develop relationships with them for profitability.
• Articulate in speech and presentation.
• Highly innovation and results-oriented.
• Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to drive a team to execute and deliver business objectives.
• Networking skills, tact and diplomacy. 
• Strong IT skills
