Job Description

SALES MANAGER (Electrical Engineering background)

Category: Sales and Marketing

Location: Accra

Our client a Trading and Engineering Company, trading in technical and electronic equipment for the Health, Laboratory, Surveying, Energy and Educational sectors is looking for a proactive and experienced individual to fill their vacant Sales Manager role to help with their operations.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate will be responsible for all sales activities of the company and report directly to the Trade Division in the company’s headquarters in Germany.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and recommend short and long term goals, strategies and objectives to Management
  • Ensure that all operations and activities of the Company are conducted in accordance with applicable Laws and rules of the Company
  • Develop and recommend short and long term goals, strategies and objectives to the Management
  • Provide after sales support for new customers and maintain contacts
  • Provide regular and up to date report top Management
  • Oversee operations of the local company by ensuring sales volumes & enhancing business development
  • Expansion of the company’s international distribution network in cooperation with sales team
  • Ensure timely delivery of supplied equipment
  • Managing existing and new customers in the manufacturing, mining, Medical & Laboratory and Energy sectors in Ghana
  • Providing projects oversight and attracting new business for the company.

Required Skills or Experience

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A Business Degree in Business Management, Marketing or Technical from a recognized University
  • At least 5 years’ experience from a sales management position.

REQUIREMENT

  • Must have a thorough understanding and knowledge of government procurement regulations and experience in tender processes of local and international tenders
  • Must have sales and marketing skills
  • Knowledge of Electro-Mechanical Systems
  • Knowledge of the Energy sector
  • Good Communication skills
  • Good Presentation skills
  • Must be IT oriented

  • Ability to influence key stakeholders
  • Ability to deliver results and meet customer expectations
