Job Description

Support the implementation of sustainable development programs, including helping with the implementation of women’s empowerment and youth empowerment programs, good practices and innovations.  Assist with organizing and promoting learning and awareness events, as well as overseeing capacity development and entrepreneurship training. This is an opportunity to take a leadership role within the organization.

Required Skills or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree a plus) in international development, international relations, political sciences, social sciences, economics, community development or related area, with some background in business or finance.
• At least 2 years relevant experience, ideally in development, community engagement, entrepreneurship and capacity building.
• Strong and demonstrated program/project management skills.
• Ability to prepare reports and provide information to management in a timely manner.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal direction.
• Skills in technical proposal writing, designing and implementing women empowerment, youth empowerment, and entrepreneurship programs
• Experience working for an international NGO is a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated research, writing and editing experience.
• Knowledge or familiarity with SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) is a big plus
• Ability to advise senior management team on tactical approaches and strategies to address complex and sensitive humanitarian/development issues.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a global team environment.
• Ability to develop and maintain partnerships with government counterparts, and NGO partners.
• Experience in entrepreneurship/development project management especially on women entrepreneurship programs and gender issues.
