Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of: Director of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) 

The Director of ICT shall: 

  • Be the Head of UDS ICT Directorate 
  • Design and implement the University'S ICT programmes 
  • Co-ordinate all ICT activities on all the University's Campuses 
  • Provide leadership to all staff in the ICT Directorate 

Required Skills or Experience

Candidate must have the following qualifications: 

  • An MPhil, or a two-year research Masters degree, or a one-year Masters degree plus a certificate of Membership of a recognised and relevant professional body. Additional academic and professional certificate(s) in ICT will be an added advantage. 

Must EITHER

  • Be a Senior Proqrarnme Analyst or Senior Network Administrator 
  • or System Analyst in a University or analogous institution for a minimum of two (2) years have a minimum of ten (10) years postqualification experience as an ICT Administrator in an Organisation or establishment 
  • Must have wide practical experience in ICT administration. 
  • Must be able to work for a minimum of five (5) years before attaining the statutory retirement age of sixty (60) years
