Job Description

To support the organisation in facilitating efforts related to human capital and creating a positive work environment that attracts, develops and fosters an effective organisation in order achieve set organisational objectives.

Responsibilities (KPAs) :

Develops Annual HR plan to support the broader organisational objectives

  • Works with management to plan and implement programs to meet human resource requirements supporting short- and long-term business needs.
  • Facilitates and aligns the development of integrated annual plans
  • Identifies and agrees priorities with
  • Tracks progress on plan and reports back to the business on a regular basis

Human Resources Policies

  • Develops and directs the development of Human Resources policies which are aligned to global and reflect best practice in Ghana
  • Implements and supervises the administration of all Human Resources policies
  • Ensures effective and efficient delivery of Human Resource processes including performance management, talent management, staffing, compensation & benefits, training and development
  • Ensures all policies and processes are accessible and communicated to employees and line management

Lead the HR Function

  • Plans, develops, establishes and implements the human resources function
  • Assists staff in terms of identifying, evaluating and resolving human relations and work performance
  • Manages performance, career development etc. of the HR team
  • Promotes industry leading HR practice within the function

Recruitment

  • Define and facilitate the recruitment process within for permanent, casual and internship staff
  • Identify recruitment agencies and/or respective advertising channels to assist with sourcing the right talent
  • Conduct interviews for/with the recruiting manager
  • Facilitate all administrative tasks related to the recruitment process (e.g. contracts)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Assure implementation/administration of compensation and benefits programmes
  • Source and negotiate terms with insurance and medical service providers

Training & Development

  • Formulate and report on annual training plans
  • Identifying training needs, source service providers and ensure effectively delivery of training solutions

Required Skills or Experience

  • First degree – preferably a post graduate degree MSC/MBA in Human Resources
  • Total numbers of years’ experience required is 5 years years or more
    • Management experience of at least 3 years is required in this role
  • Knowledge and Skills
    • Local Labour Law
    • Training & development methodologies
    • Job evaluation methodologies
    • Recruitment and selection processes
    • Should be IT savvy and have knowledge of payroll processing
