Job Description

Our Client, a licensed Finance House is seeking to hire an Investment Officer with the aim of supporting their operations.

Role Profile

The successful candidate will contribute positively to the growth of a profitable portfolio of investors and borrowers within the approved policies thereby achieving agreed targets and profitability.

Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between the company and the client
  • Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate.
  • Perform cash flow forecasting as necessary.
  • Maintain a pipeline of prospective clients
  • Listen to client requirements and present appropriately to make a sale.
  • Prepare call reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
  • Monitor, develop, and implement measures to ensure compliance with various legislative, accounting, and financial reporting requirements including statues pertaining to the investment of public funds
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reporting, and updating client statements
  • Maintain, develop and expand portfolios and relationships with existing customers to ensure continuous growth.
  • Research on economy of Ghana, Ghana Stock Exchange performance etc.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the overall function, commensurate with the grading and level of responsibilities of the post.
  • Gain a clear understanding of clients' businesses and requirements
  • Work closely with Finance Department regarding establishment and ongoing status of policies and procedures.
  •  Track competitor activities, products, prices and other business related information and update
  • Execute Marketing Plan in consultation with management
  • Formulate marketing and other strategies with the team.
  • Clearly establish mutual expectations with clients to ensure satisfaction and create long term relationship with clients.
  • Conduct research on client’s feedback, identify new business opportunities and threats to the company.
  • Establish and maintain professional working relationship with all banks and brokers.
  • Creating detailed proposal documents and presentations for clients

Required Skills or Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance or accounting or any related field from a recognized Institution
  • At least 1-3 years’ experience in similar position

Requirement

  • Ability to build partnerships and deliver results that meet the needs and long-term interest of clients within and outside the institution
  • A multi-disciplinary approach to work, with a positive attitude, ready to acquire knowledge.
  • Strong inter-personal skills
  • Results oriented, with attention to detail.
  • A good understanding of accounting and finance principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications – MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
  • Strong communication skills (written and Oral)
  • Some marketing acumen, with an ability to make presentations and speak to clients.
  • Be a proactive, self-motivated individual and be able to work without supervision.
  • Good listener with demonstrated ability to present and win support for ideas as well as make effective and timely decisions
