A reputable Gold Mining Company located in Ghana is looking for qualified Ghanaian Nationals to apply for the position of Cubex ITH Operator/Trainer

Responsibilities

• Ensure relevant Safety, Mining and other statutory Codes and Regulations remain in full compliance.
• Ensure all tasks or activities are executed and aligned with Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Work Instructions at all times.
• Operate ITH Cubex drilling rigs for mine development according to quality specifications safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret drilling plans to ensure cost-effectiveness of all drilling operations.
• Ensure proper rig-up and rig-down procedures as strictly followed.
• Provide reliable and accurate operational knowledge and practical application to minimize down time and loss of production.
• Plan and mobilize equipment to drilling site (Tramming).
• Train offsiders and other operators as required
• Perform other duties as may be reasonably assigned by your supervisor.

Required Skills or Experience

• Must possess at least MSLC/SHS Certificate or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ working experience in Underground Mining Operations.
• Must have detailed knowledge and experience in the operation of in-the-Hole (ITH) Cubex Machine. 
• Must be able to read and understand designed ground support plans, detailed survey prints and layouts.
• Must have basic electrical and mechanical knowledge on the drill rig.
• Holder of Mine Rescue and valid First Aid Certificates will be an added advantage.
• Must have thorough understanding of underground mining operations, and solid safety performance at the personal and professional level.
• Must possess a valid Ghanaian Driver’s License with defensive driving skills
