Job Description

  • The Head of School for our School will be responsible for the operation and management of the school.
  • The Head of School will manage the staff at the school which includes all additional administrative staff and all teachers.
  • This person will work with cross-functional teams to manage projects and improve processes for the school.

Additionally, responsibilities include:

  • Academic Achievement – responsible for developing programs that will enable students and families to be successful and meet their academic goals. Able to implement programs to ensure academic success for a diverse group of students.
  • Management – Supervises the staff of the school. Creates policies and procedures in regards to performance management, succession planning, staffing requirements, etc.
  • Marketing– Promote the school throughout the community and develop relationships within the school network.  Develop enrollment and retention programs. Actively participate in community events.
  • Compliance – Manage all reporting needs required by the Ghana Education Service
  • Facilities Management - Establish procedures that create and maintain attractive, organized, functional, healthy, clean, and safe facilities.  Assume responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of students, employees and visitors.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This job has supervisory responsible for all school staff, including the teachers.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. School administration certification and experience required
  • Track record of excellent student results under candidates administration is strongly required
  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to improve the education options for children. He/She will have experience in running a business and/or a school with multi-tier management.
  • The ideal candidate should have great experience of turning the school around into great success

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Principal and/or administrator certifications are required.
