Our client, a leader in Construction is currently looking to hire a proactive Quantity Surveyor to help in their operations in Ghana.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful person will be responsible for preparing bill of quantities for projects and also support in consulting and construction projects in horizontal and vertical development.

DUTIES

• Will be expected to prepare cost estimates for tenders
• Assisting in contract negotiations
• Reviewing and managing contractors financial claims
• Assisting in the processing of payment certificates
• Visiting sites to measure contractors works
• Preparing tender and contract documents including bill of quantities
• Preparing tender evaluation reports
• Preparing schedule of dilapidation for existing buildings earmarked for rehabilitation or demolition
• Preparing contract documents for award of contracts

Required Skills or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Building Technology
• 1-2 years’ experience in similar role

REQUIREMENT

• Must be familiar with Civil Engineering methods of measurement
• Understand site materials inventory management and control
• Must have knowledge in computer software – Spreadsheet MS(Excel), Project Management (MS Project), Primavera P6, etc), packaged cost estimating software
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be familiar with conditions of contract and procurement guidelines.
• Must be able to prepare evaluations and variations claim
• Must have good understanding of how to perform cost control analysis
