Our client, a leader in the pharmaceutical industry with the aim of adding value to life with products and services is looking for an experienced and proactive Engineering Manager to help with their operations in Ghana

Role Profile:
The position requires a dynamic and proactive individual, who will be in charge of all engineering works in the company by managing all engineering projects and capital expenditure.  

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a robust Engineering and Asset Care management system
• Manage all engineering projects and Capital expenditure
• Support the Manufacturing Manager to run the production facilities.
• Manage a team of technicians in the company
• Support other line Managers in the execution of their duties
• Ensure that a robust equipment maintenance system is in place.
• Ensure planned maintenance schedules are effectively executed
• Periodically review existing Preventive Maintenance templates to ensure that the activities are relevant.
• Ensure these planned maintenance activities are properly documented and filed such that they can pass any audit exercise 
• Ensure that spare parts and tools for Preventive Maintenance are readily available
• Ensure a robust facility maintenance program is in place.
• Ensure that planned Facility maintenance schedules are effectively executed
• Periodically (annually) review these activities in the existing Preventive Maintenance templates to ensure that the activities are relevant.
• Ensure these planned maintenance activities are properly documented
• Manage consultants and contractors to deliver projects
• Develop projects that will enhance operations.
• Ensure that all the above activities are conducted safely 

Required Skills or Experience

• BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Master’s degree will be added advantage

Experience:

• 7-10 years’ experience in a middle management role in a manufacturing environment (preferable FMCG)
• Demonstrated record of achievement in prior engineering position
• Experience in reading and understanding engineering drawings
• Experience in engineering and asset care management
