Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

  • Responsible for working for a dealership that represents one or more major manufacturers selling new cars and commercial vehicles.
  • Charged with the task of working with customers to understand their needs, guide them towards the most appropriate product and, finally, agree the sale to claim your commission.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contacting potential customers via telephone, email and face to face
  • Working to KPI’s and revenue targets as set by the sales director
  • Arranging meetings with prospects in order to demonstrate products
  • Negotiating with potential customers and closing sales
  • Identifying opportunities for new business within the market
  • Paying attention to competitors an their activities within the industry
  • Building long term relationship with new and existing customers
  • Ensuring all administrative relating to sales is completed effectively
  • Working closely with other departments and finding opportunities to cross sell of the sales consultant
  • Proven ability to drive sales and generate new business
  • Relevant industry experience ideally gained from a competitor business
  • Confident and experienced negotiator able to drive revenue
  • Ambitious and driven personality with a hunger for success that we need

Required Skills or Experience

  • At least bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related discipline.
  • A Valid driver’s license
  • At least three (3) years of sales or vehicle sales experience
  • Possess understanding and knowledge of equity and values, automobile depreciation, and local, state and federal laws that guide automobile
