Job Description

A Non-Bank Financial Institution (NBFI) and a subsidiary of a multinational company. The Company has vacancies for highly motivated individuals with high integrity and a passion to succeed for hiring as: Acquisition & Retention Manager

  • Reports To: Chief Operations Officer 
  • Location: Head Office

 

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The role holder is responsible for business development across the entire business. S/he will develop strategies to acquire and retain customers. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and /or refines acquisition and retention tactics, leading to meaningful commercial impact
  • Obtains insights and best practices from external sources to feed into strategy
  • Capable of getting to a conclusion on hypotheses in environments of varying data availability
  • Works closely with the sales structure/credit function to ensure that targets are met
  • Regularly reviews, monitors and ensures that there is an adequate number of staff at all times to fulfil the strategic objectives
  • Establishes and maintains remote working relationships with BIGS support teams
  • Creates and maintains good relationships with the district officials and other stakeholders 
  • Recommends and initiates enhancements to the sales and marketing operation 
  • Understands the long-term vision and evaluates actions in broader context 
  • Works with available data to optimise customer targeting

Required Skills or Experience

Formal Education and Certification

  • Minimum of first degree in Business Administration preferably in Marketing from a recognized university. A post-graduate degree (MBA in Marketing) and professional qualification (CIM) will be an advantage
  • Project management skills: ability to plan, organise, control and run several streams of activity simultaneously and identify and tackle issues that threaten delivery

Competencies Required (Skills & Abilities)

  • Ability to provide accurate, complete and timely submission of required progress reports
  • Proficiency in advanced excel functions (e.g. IF, VLOOKUP, sum product) and pivot tables
  • Ability to manage and report on revenue forecasting
  • Able to work independently
