Job Description

Tulaa Ghana is recruiting qualified field sales agents in selected districts of the Northern, Upper West, Brong Ahafo and Volta Region on contract.

Tulaa Field Sales Agents sell products and services on the Tulaa marketplace to farmers and are vital to building trust in our brand, generating goodwill through the provision of reliable and accurate information, actively listening to the clients and putting customer euphoria at the centre of every interaction. We are currently looking for youthful, smart, self-driven and highly motivated individuals to sell Tulaa products and services to agricultural areas in Ghana.

Northern Region

Sales

  • Clearly articulate Tulaa’s value proposition to farmers
  • Sell Tulaa products and services to farmers and other rural buyers in designated areas
  • Build capacity of clients on how to use the Tulaa platform for input layaways and to purchase products/services or sell farm produce
  • Educate and assist target farmers with layaways for inputs
  • Work with Community Brand Ambassadors to promote Tulaa products and services, support farmers to use the Tulaa platform to layaway money for inputs, and to meet sales targets 
  • Respond to farmer concerns in a smart, timely and satisfactory manner

Order Fulfillment

  • Work with operational team to finalize orders for inputs and other products/services
  • Liaise with input dealers and client farmers to ensure timely delivery of inputs
  • Communicate date, time and location of delivery to target farmer
  • Validate quality and quantity of inputs at input pick up points

Reporting and Other

  • Document activities, report on progress and update the Field Operations Manager on customer acquisition, order fulfilment and agricultural activities designated territory
  • Provide Head Office Teams information required to monitor Tulaa’s operations and to strengthen Tulaa’s capacity to understand rural markets and provide relevant products and services to rural communities
  • Collect weekly retail prices of farm input from major input dealers in the operational area
  • Provide feedback on how to improve the Tulaa solution

Required Skills or Experience

About you

  • Diploma in Marketing, Business, Agriculture or related field
  • Minimum of 2-year experience dealing with smallholder farmers with a demonstrable track record of achieving sales targets
  • Passionate about meeting targets within set timelines
  • Patient and persistent
  • Fast thinker with ability to respond appropriately to farmer questions
  • Has relationships with or can quickly build relationships with farmers, farmer based organizations and other agricultural stakeholders
  • Live in the vicinity of designated farming community
  • A licensed motor rider who owns a bike
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English as well as one or more of the languages spoken by the farming community in the region
  • Team player
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
