Job Description

Head of Training for a leading Life Insurance Company

The successful applicant's role will include, but not limited to the following:

• Support in the identification of appropriate learning modules/content
• Assist in developing content for training modules
• Deliver product knowledge trainings to staff
• Work with HR to develop and deliver effective orientation programmes including Product Knowledge and soft skills trainings
• Deliver structured training programmes for both new and old Sales Executives (all channels) including product knowledge and other behavioral topics
• Assist in organizing Basic In-House and Advanced In-House Insurance training
• Assist to monitor and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with managers
• Support in evaluating training and development programmes, training impact analysis/return on investment analysis
• Assist in analyzing data on Executives trained as against retention/attrition strategies
• Assist in providing input into monthly/ad-hoc Team/Branch/Broker meetings presentations
• Perform all administrative functions related to the role
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports as determined by the Head of Department and/ or Company 
• Perform any other duties assigned by the company

Required Skills or Experience

• A minimum of a 1st degree in Education/Development Studies or any of the Social Sciences
• At least 5 years post national service experience in a Training/Learning and Development role
• Professional certification as a Trainer will be an advantage
• Professional Insurance Certification will be an added advantage
